About Digital Amesbury

About:

Digital Amesbury is a project of the Amesbury Public Library. This repository serves as our digital library for our local history special collections and archives. Our goal is to provide access to select resources from our holdings and facilitate access to remote users. We add content sporadically as we are able given our limited resources and staffing.

Content Management:

Digital Amesbury uses the software system Omeka, a project of the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University. It is a free, open-source Web platform for publishing collections and exhibitions online. Omeka uses the guidelines established in the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative to standardize item records.
